Atlanta Braves Trade Deadline Disaster

The trade deadline has passed and Atlanta Braves fans are asking themselves, in a deadline that saw so many trades made, how did they manage to do nothing? In fairness, they technically made a couple of moves, but they were more about roster space than improvement. 

The Braves have desperately needed starting pitching help for over a year and a half now.  With so many starters on the move during the deadline, the fact that the Braves only got Tyler Mahle is criminal from the front office.  

For a team that is 22 games over .500 and have a 7.5 game lead in their division, if they really want to be World Series contenders, they had to add starting pitching.  The failures of Alex Anthopoulos have been mounting.  If the Braves don't go deep in the playoffs will we look back and see this as the beginning of the end for him?
